Summer Program for Psychology and Social Work 2026

Give your high school student a meaningful and inspiring summer experience that opens the door to the world of mental health. Hosted by Tri State Psychotherapy Group, this four week virtual program offers a unique blend of live instruction, hands on learning, and flexible independent study. Students gain an inside look at the fields of social work and psychology while building skills that strengthen future college and career pathways.

Students who complete the full program will also be eligible to receive a personalized letter of recommendation highlighting their commitment and accomplishments.

Summer Program for High School Students

Summer Program Highlights

Group Supervision Access

Students observe weekly group supervision, gaining insight into how therapists think through cases, consult with one another, and navigate real world clinical situations.

Mock Therapy Sessions

Students watch mock sessions that demonstrate therapeutic skills in action and show how concepts learned in class appear in practice.

Daily Live Interaction

At least one hour of live virtual engagement takes place each day, providing opportunities for connection, questions, and guided learning.

Professional Documentation Skills

Students learn how clinicians document their work and communicate essential information across the mental health system.

Flexible Independent Study

Outside of live sessions, students complete assignments and activities at their own pace, allowing the program to fit smoothly into a summer schedule.

Cost: $800 for 4 weeks

What Students Will Learn

Each week includes a 90 minute class taught by licensed clinicians, introducing foundational concepts from psychology, counseling, and mental health practice.
